Last night, our national team in the struggle for the semifinal of the World Futsal Cup blew out the Spanish team with the score 6-2.

Eder Lima, who scored twice, commented on the result of this triumph:
– We are one team at this World Cup. We started preparing for it already in August, and in total we’ve been together for a month. Our team is in good condition, and we prepare for each match down to the last. The victory over Spain, our arch-rival, is absolutely natural.

– Everyone is impressed with your duet with Ivan Chishkala. How come do you understand each other that good?
– We’ve known each other for 10 years, playing in the same club, and now in the same national team. We know each other very well. I know what and in which moment I should expect from him, he knows what passes are more comfortable for me. We have an excellent understanding, and I am happy our duet worked out greatly here as well.

– Russia seems to be favorite for the title now, isn’t it?
– No, hold on! Yes, the victory over Spain is awesome, but now we just broke another barrier. Ahead we are to have a tremendously tough game against Iran, we are well aware of what this team is capable. Let’s not try to catch the ball before the bound, but move from game to game. Once we also defeated Spain in the semifinal of the European Championship but then we could not handle Italy in the final. We shouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

The next semi-final rival is Iran. The match will be held in Medellin on the night of September 27th to 28th at 3:00am Moscow time.
