On June 4^th in Yugorsk (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region – Yugra) in the SC “Yubileyniy” the FC held a ceremony in which the club gave a new electronic wheelchair to Aleksandr Solomennik, Stavropol boarding house pupil deprived of limbs since birth.

The event took place before the third match of the final round of the Russian Futsal Championship between “Gazprom-UGRA” and “Dynamo”. The wheelchair was handed by the president of the FC “Gazprom-UGRA” Petr Sozonov, advisor to the chairman of the interregional trade union of the JSC “Gazprom” Petr Brikov, head coach of the FC “Gazprom-UGRA” Paulo Ricardo Figueiroa Silva (Kaka). Aleksandr Solomennik was greeted by thunderous applause from the numerous fans of the Ugra futsal club.

The “Gazprom-UGRA” gift is the old dream of Aleksandr Solomennik. This model of a wheelchair is made especially for the young man. It is characterized by high maneuverability and compactness. The wheelchair is equipped with a powerful electric motor, which allows to run at the speed of up to 10 km/h.

The FC “Gazprom-UGRA” has been actively involved in charitable actions aimed at charity, kindness and attention. Earlier in April at the International charitable children’s festival “Angels of Nature” in Sochi Kaka gave to Solomennik a personal certificate for a wheelchair with an electric motor. The players hope that their gift will help Aleksandr to lead a socially active lifestyle.
