Head coach of the FC Gazprom-UGRA Kaka shared his expectations from the upcoming matches of the Russian Cup final, in which the team is playing against Norilsk Nickel.

– In the semi-final, Gazprom-UGRA seemed to have easily broken the resistance of KPRF. Can we say that the team has become even more confident in your abilities?
– I would not say that it was easy for us. The first match, “Gazprom” just played very well, and in the second meeting we tried to keep the level of the game that is necessary for the final success. We had to play a lot in the defense, the opponent attacked a lot with the fifth field player. Yes, we showed a good game, but it was not exactly easy for us. Thanks to a quality game, we went to the finals. We are confident in our abilities, but we know that there will be difficult matches ahead.

– How is the team getting ready to go to Norilsk? Is everyone ready?
“The best preparation is recovery.” We have played a lot of games, we are constantly travelling, we have little time to rest. So now we are mostly trying to recover. It is also planned to analyze the game of the opponent in the video. We have the opportunity to assess the conditions of each player, maybe we will keep someone for the second match.

– In the Super League, Gazprom-UGRA confidently defeated Norilsk Nickel, 3-1. Do you consider that match when developing a game plan?
– It was a completely different match, both clubs had different teams. The players had already spent half the season by that time, they wanted to rest, someone could play with the “suitcase” mood. Therefore, we can not compare the games of the Super League and the finals of the Cup of Russia. Undoubtedly, the individual characteristics remained the same, but as for the rest, everything will be different.

– What can you say about the rival in general?
– Norilsk Nickel has a very strong team, the players are used to winning. The club has been enhanced with high-quality players from “Dynamo” and “Dina”, and for some reason reached the decisive matches. The final is the final. If there is a tournament where the favorite does not always win, then this is the Cup.

What are your expectations of the final matches?
– The matches will be very spectacular. Both teams like to play futsal, and Gazprom and Norilsk Nickel have a bright, attacking style, masterful players. We will hold two games, and I think they will be spectacular, the audience will see beautiful goals. Both teams play fast, it will be very interesting.
