The first final match of the Cup of Russia, which took place in Novosibirsk on March 31st ended with a major victory of the guests. “Gazprom-Ugra” defeated the local “Siberiak” with the score 9-1.

The first 25 minutes, the teams tried to play carefully, but still showed a very fast football with a lot of highlight moments, which created a real atmosphere of the final taking into account that the hall in Novosibirsk was fully crowded.

“Gazprom-Ugra” left for the break leading with the score 2-1. The guests created more moments at the goal and opened the scoring at the beginning when Ruslan Kudziev made a mistake at his goal and Eder Lima used the opportunity shooting at Formin. Once Boa Aventura scattered the defenders by his foot sleights but the ball hit Zviad Kupatadze.

The hosts could revenge closer to the break: “Siberiak” earned a penalty on the very goal line, and Joan outsmarted bath the wall and the goalkeeper and slightly touching the ball sent it into the net through the formed corridor. But the team of Evgeniy Kuksevich couldn’t keep the draw for a long time: Chishkala passed from the center to the flank where the ball hit Katata.

The score didn’t look catastrophic but to the disappointment of local fans, Novosibirsk failed the beginning of the second half. On the 32nd minute Niyazov finalized the vertical combination through Afanasiev. On the 34th minute Joan made a mistake and Davidov scored the fourth goal, then he once again score a goal by finalizing a pass, 5-1 on the 35th minute.

“Siberiak” coudnt recover from the shock and soon the score was unusually large for the hall of Novosibirsk. Within a minute, Artem Niyazov scored two more, and each time the goals became the results of the misbalance the hosts created in their defense. History knows many example of the amazing “comebacks” of the club from Siberia but this time it was difficult to imagine. Alex Formin was substituted in the goal by Nikolai Balashov, however he couldn’t leave the net without losing goals, Lima made his double shooting at a long range on the 44th minute. The rest of the time the losing side played with an extra man but it didn’t help them score and Zviad Kupatadze, the most “scoring” goalkeeper of all current goalkeepers of the Super League set the final score 8 seconds before the final buzzer, 9-1 in favor of “Gazprom-Ugra”.

The second leg will take place in Yugorsk on April 3rd.
