Head coach of “Gazprom-UGRA” Kaka told us before the match against “Sibiryak” how the month break was and how the team prepared for the tour:

– After the first 4 matches the guys had little time to rest, when they came back we worked in a preseason mode. We worked out many new game features during this time, despite the fact that five players were in the national team we still did a great job. I thank my players for enduring to work with such a complex schedule, I thank our youth team, they have helped us a lot.

– Who was invited for the training sessions from the youth team?
– Aleksandr Pirogov, now he is the main team player though. He showed a very good level in the friendly matches we had. Kutsak, Koridze, Cherniy, Umirbaev, they all trained with the first team and improved their individual skills.

– How are you going to deal with fatigue of the national team players after the World Cup?
-I talked individually with each player, they have expressed their desire to play in the next matches, they want to help the team. Someone does not have this opportunity due to the injuries acquired in the tournament. Nobody will play to harm himself. After this tour, the players will have extra days off, so they can recover enough.

– Everyone still remembers that game in which “Gazprom” defeated “Sibiryak” 9-1.
– I do not expect the same large score, anything can happen, but I can’t guess.
