The best scorer of the World Cup 2012, striker of the Russian national team, Eder Lima, spoke about the preparation of the team for the Mundial in Colombia and about his mindset:
– Of course, It is nice to have individual achievements, especially if we are talking about World Cup … In 2012 I scored 9 goals, this was the best result, however, the team went home after the quarter-finals. Therefore, what kind of happiness can we talk about? We play team sport. For me, as a striker, it is important to score goals, but they should help the team move upwards.

– I guess you chat with your colleagues from other teams, the sports world is still tight, isn’t it.
– Of course, I talk with those who I know in person. What do they say? Expect Russia to show a strong game as always. Especially knowing that “Gazprom-UGRA” won UEFA last season. But still everyone is preparing as we are. For everybody this event is very especial for career, since the World Cup happens only every four years.

– How has the team been preparing these days?
– We’ve been working in a good mood! Everything goes very intensively: gym, theory and tactics. The most important thing is that everyone stays very positive. It’s nice that we have this atmosphere in our team.
