The Russian national futsal team begins preparations for the qualifying tournament of the European Championship-2018.

The team’s training and training will be held at the sports facilities at the Aquarium Hotel in the Moscow suburbs. The challenge was given to seven players from “Gazprom-UGRA”: Sergey Slemzin, Dmitriy Lyskov, Andrey Afanasyev, Vladislav Shayakhmetov, Eder Lima, Danil Davydov and Ivan Chishkala.

Matches of the main qualifying round of the European Championship-2018 in Group 7 will be held in Kojaeli, Turkey, from April 8th to 11th. The calendar of the games is as follows:

The team that took first place guarantees its participation in the final stage of the European Championship, which will be held in February 2018 in Slovenia. Seven teams that took second place, as well as the best of the teams finishing third, will play in the play-offs four more vouchers in September 2017.

At the last three European championships (2012, 2014 and 2016) the Russian team became a silver medalist. And after a similar achievement at the World Championships in Colombia in 2016 led the UEFA rating.
