The national team of Russia lost to Spain in the European championship with the score 3 to 7 and became the silver winner.

It wouldn’t be right to say that the first half was totally controlled by the adversary.  The teams exchanged dangerous moments when Migelin hit the crossbar with his overhead kick, and when Dmitry Lyskov struck the goal of Paco Sedano after a corner kick at a close distance. On the 10th minute the team of Lopez effectively played the out – Alex opened the scoring from the central zone. And then the “red fury” started punishing for the mistakes. On the 16^th minute the Russian team failed to leave the defense area Pola was left alone in front of the goal. Then Rivillos once again closed the out and Pola scored his second goal after we lost the ball next to our goal.  And on the last minute Romulo definitely gave us some home hitting the ball at an acute angle – the teams went for the interval with the score 4 to 1 in favor of Spain.

The task for the second half was not easy. In spite of everything, the Russian team came out with a good mood and started to fix the situation. After unsuccessful attempts on the 27th minute, Sergei Skorovich went for 5 against 4 – first Romulo was the 5th, after – Sergeev. As a result, the first to suffer was our team – Migelin waited for the mistake at a corner kick and on the 31^st minutes pushed the ball into the empty goal.

Robinho quickly cut the difference, hitting the ball in the far low corner, but the adversary kept waiting for any mistakes – Migelin and Rivillos kept hitting the empty goal from their part of the field, which finally determined the outcome. On the last minute the Russian team with the effort of Sergey Abramov and Ivan Milovanov scored the third goal, which adjusted the difference.

7: 3 – Spain wins the 7^th gold of the continental championship, Russia gets its 5^th silver.
