UEFA holds its final four in Almaty (Kazakhstan) from April 28th to 30th. Our team “Gazprom-UGRA” is to defend the title of club champion of Europe, won in 2016.

The four teams are very strong.
– hosts of the pitch Kairat Almaty is a two-time winner of the UEFA Cup
– Spanish “Inter Movistar” three-time winner of the UEFA Cup and finalist of the last drawing, ceding in the decisive match to our team.
– Portuguese “Sporting” – many times finalist of the UEFA Cup and didn’t let “Dynamo” participate in the “Final Four” this year.
– “Gazprom-UGRA” (Russia, Yugorsk) is the current winner of the UEFA Cup.

The draw determined the composition of the semi-final pairs:
April 28th, our team will meet with the Portuguese “Sporting”, and
Kazakhstani “Kairat” with the Spanish “Inter Movistar”.
April 30th, the winners of the semifinals will compete for the main trophy, and the losers will meet in the consolation finals for the 3rd place.

Our team began preparations for this tournament on April 14th, 2017. On the return of our “inter-season” from the winning qualifying tournament to the European Championship in 2018, which was held in Turkey. Six players of our team play for the main team of the country: Shayakhmetov Vladislav (captain of the national team), Danil Davydov, Dmitry Lyskov, Eder Lima, Andrey Afanasyev and Ivan Chishkala. We congratulate them on this victory and hope that their winning spirit will help the team to successfully perform in the “Final Four” of the UEFA Cup.
