Evgeniy Davletshin, head coach of he FC “Sinara”:
On behalf of myself and the team I would like to congratulate the opponent on winning the UEFA Cup. “Gazprom” team has proved by this title that Russian futsal is at a good level and our teams are competitive in Europe. We had prepared for this game and we also had to cope with the fact that we were going to play against the owner of the Cup. Impose a “battle”, try to get the points and maybe even win that was the mindset we had for the game. We took the lead and created the “X” amount of scoring chances. And not just scoring, really scoring, where it was easier to score than not to score, it is the lack of skills that influenced the finalizing of those chances. This is not the first game I repeat that we lack a certain level in this component. As a result, we see this kind of games, in which we are supposed to lead by two goals, and then, as Yanar said, it would be a disaster. But the opponent squeezed their moments, scored and we had to play with an extra man. We could have scored in the majority. We played well, thanks to the guys, no complaints about their dedication, their desire and their mood. But it’s difficult to win in futsal only based on these qualities, you still need to have some sort of “class.” The opponent showed us their level. Now we must prepare for the playoffs, we know that we are playing against “Tyumen”and we will try to spend the remaining time very fruitfully in order to prepare for the first stage of the playoffs.
Kaka, head coach of the FC “Gazprom-UGRA”:
I congratulate our players on the victory. After the UEFA Cup both the players and coaches said that it will be difficlut to get back whether with a victory or a defeat: it is hard to switch. Today, we expected a low level of emotions, but our expectations were not met, and may be that’s why we have this result. Thanks to the guys, who had’t had a lot of playing time before, they entered the pitch and tried to prove that they should play more. It’s great: the team should have competition. The players showed that they can compete with others. Thanks to them for being able to celebrate the Cup and win towards our fans. We couldn’t do it when we won the Cup of Russia, but today it happened. Everyone expected victory and it came.
Pavel Chistopolov, player of the FC “Sinara”:
Congratulations to the team of “Gazprom” and the whole club on winning such an important and long-awaited trophy. I wish the team moved forward and developed. As for the game, we followed our game plan, to play in low defense and to counterattack. We had our first couple of shifts playing well and even held the ball, then scored and led. Then the opponent improved their game and it became more difficult, and the level of skills affected the result, played 2 against 0 and could score again, then it would be 2-0, and the opponent would be a little bit nervous, and it would’ve been somehow different. But the way we played today shows what we deserve.
I think we played well today: stayed patient, tried, used all our strength, but at certain moments we lacked something. If we scored then in it wouldn’t be minus two goals at the end, it’d be minus one.
The opponent is very good and skilful, despite the fact that many players did not playe today. But all the same guys still tried and you can see they are progressing.
Yanar Asadov, player of the FC “Gazprom-UGRA”:
Today we didn’t have our major players, they were substituted by those who play little. We entered the pitch motivated to prove our level and get more time in the main team. We started the game relaxed and without the proper concentration, that’s why it was so hard, and there was no understanding between the players. At the end of the first half we pulled ourselves together and everything went right. We also got lucky. There were lots of moments next to our goal, Sergey Slemzin really helped. If they scored two against zero, I don’t know what could’ve happened, and what score we could have as a result. But we were lucky and won.
