On the eve of the start of the Russian futsal championship among the teams of the Major League, the captain of the youth Gazprom-UGRA, Stepan Sofronov told us about the pre-season preparation and the mood for the first round.

– How did the training go? How do you assess the preparation of the team for the new season?

– The preseason was excellent, the coaches gave us a good load, but all the guys could cope with it. While we, of course, are not in the optimal form, we have much to learn and achieve, but everyone shoed fighting spirit.

– You were chosen as the captain of the team. Will you feel any extra responsibility going in 1 round on the floor in the 1^st round?

– I am very grateful to the team for being chosen as the captain. Of course this is a big responsibility, but I will do everything I can to not let the team down.

– What is the moral state of the team for the new season?

– Once again, the team is ready to fight, no one is saying we need these game just to practice. We want to win and give battle to each of our rivals.

– In August, you held friendly games against the teams “Dinamo” and “Krasnaya Gvardiya”. Please share your impressions of the games?

– The first two games were not too well, we couldn’t do many things, for instance, to score. But the coaches made conclusions, made adjustments and we were ready to play that is why I think we can improve the 3^rd game. I think that this game will give us a good push ahead of the season.
