Zviad Kupatadze is recognized as the best goalkeeper of the Russian Futsal Championship by based on the results of the 2016/17 season.

Zviad Kupatadze:

– For me the title of the best in my position is a great honor. It had been 12 years since I came to Russia and received my first such a title, and now again I am awarded a high title. It is especially honorable because the Russian Super League is one of the strongest in the world, many top-level goalkeepers play here. I am grateful to my coaches, especially to our goalkeeper coach Marcus Vinicius da Silva Bianchi, they have played a great role in my success. Unfortunately, because of serious problems with some players we got no title last season. And the Georgian national team with my participation did not make it to the European Championships. But personal achievements give me strength and optimism, the belief that the teams for which I perform, will conquer high achievements in the new season. And the title of the best forces me to keep my work at maximum, in any case not to lower my goalie bar.
