The finalists of the Russian Championship of the 2015/16 season, “Gazprom-UGRA” and “Dynamo” will represent our country in the UEFA Cup in the next season.

“Gazprom-UGRA”, which won the major European trophy in late April, climbed in the overall UEFA ranking to the third place and thus automatically qualified for the Elite round of the 16/17 season. Since the Ugra team will participate in the tournament on the rights of the trophy holder, the second ticket from Russia goes to “Dynamo”, which has already guaranteed themselves at least second place in the championship of Russia.

The total amount of scores gained by Russian teams in the UEFA Cup (“Dynamo” in the final of 2014, “Dina” in the “Final Four” in 2015 and the victory of “Gazprom-UGRA” in 2016), most likely, will give “Dynamo” the 4^th position in the ranking, which will also allow the blue-white to start with the elite stage of the 2016/17 season. The final standings will be posted by the UEFA futsal manager Laurent Morel in the near future.

The first place in the UEFA standings is still kept by the two-time winner of the European crown the team from Kazakhstan “Kairat”, the next one will be kept by the champion of Spain and the fifth one by “Sporting” or “Benfica” from Portugal.

Before in history it happened twice when two Russian teams at the same time defended the honor of the country in the same season. It happened after the victory of “Dynamo” in 2007 and of “Sinara” in 2008. All the time our clubs simultaneously reached the “Final Four”.
